Suiren sur Bashere Sedai, Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah

Heir to the throne of Saldaea, as well as Aes Sedai, Suiren maintains a queenly air about her almost constantly. She expects to be respected and obeyed, so you can imagine her surprise when she awoke to find that she'd been betrayed by her fellow sisters, collared by the Black Ajah with an a'dam and sold off to a man from a world entirely different from her own.

By chance alone, she was separated from her captors and left in the Seireitei, but with the a'dam around her throat, she was still a prisoner after a fashion. Currently she is guarded by three captains of noble blood, Byakuya Kuchiki, Jūshirō Ukitake and Shunsui Kyōraku. Their current goal right now, is simply keeping her out of Sōsuke Aizen's grasp before the war begins.

She has not yet bonded another Warder since hers, Roarke Itsuwari, was murdered by the Black Ajah during her capture. However, she has asked Byakuya Kuchiki to accept the bond. He has not, as yet, given her an answer.

It has been suggested that she is the reincarnation of the Aes Sedai known as Eldrene ay Ellan ay Carlan, with Byakuya possibly being Aemon al Caar al Thorin reborn; the last Queen and King of Manetheren.

<sub>*Please note that I have taken a few liberties with the a'dam and its abilities for this story. Call it creative license, if you will, and try not to shoot me for it.

The differences being: It can be controlled by a man. The leash can appear and disappear by act of thought alone, on the leash-holders part. It can be used to compel the woman wearing the collar. The clasp on the collar reacts to saidar alone, it will not open otherwise.</sub>

Personality

Under normal circumstances, Suiren is both a cold and calculating woman. Being both nobility and Aes Sedai has made her appear apathetic, and even heartless at times. She is, however, far from it; keeping her emotions firmly behind a solid mask.

That hasn't changed quite so much since being collared, but she has begun to realize just how helpless the a'dam has truly made her. The anguish that has recently racked her life seems to make it all the more poignant; the death of her Warder, the capture of herself and her dearest friend being the foremost causes of her distress.

Like most women of her country, Suiren has quite the jealous streak. It's one aspect of her that seems at odds with the rest, greatly startling those few who have witnessed it.

Abilities

As an Aes Sedai, she can channel the five elements at will. Suiren is strongest with water and air.

The five elements are wind, water, earth, fire and spirit. Aes Sedai have an unlimited array of abilities by channeling the One Power. By weaving together different elements in different amounts, their Power can be used for offensive, defensive and even the mundane.

Making use of the One Power, known as saidar, does not always require visible movement on their part, though some do require a small amount of action. Using a ball of fire, for example, does require a hurling motion be made to throw it.

Suiren does have the Talent known as Foretelling, yet retains no recollection of what she says when it takes hold of her.

Because she was taught by a skilled Dreamwalker, Suiren can and often does enter the Unseen World of Dreams at will. Her control once there, however, is minimal at best.

Suiren's Talent for Healing is average.

Relationships

Alindrah
First-Sister to Alindrah, the two women have been inseparable since the day they met, remaining friends throughout their training to become Aes Sedai and beyond. Alindrah was taken captive with her, but she was successfully taken into the fortress of Las Noches in Hueco Mundo, whereas Suiren escaped to the Seireitei with the help of Byakuya Kuchiki.

Byakuya Kuchiki
Suiren has since developed a relationship with the typically staid nobleman, finding him to be more than her match. After a time of beating around the bush and subtle harassment of one another, they've finally come to terms with their feelings for one another, though they still act cold to each other in public.

Rangiku Matsumoto
It's difficult for anyone to maintain a sour disposition around the bright and bubbly Vice-Captain of Squad Ten, and Suiren was no exception. The two women have formed quite a bond since her arrival in the Seireitei, with Rangiku being the one person Suiren truly feels comfortable enough to relax around.

Jūshirō Ukitake
Suiren and Captain Ukitake do not know each other very well, but have a warm respect for one another. Currently, Jūshirō is housing Suiren in his family home as part of his duty to watch over her. While she believes it is only to protect her, it also serves a secondary purpose of making certain she is of no threat to the residents of the Seireitei.

Shunsui Kyōraku
Captain Kyōraku is also responsible for guarding Suiren, along with Ukitake. Shunsui being Shunsui, he harasses Suiren as he does any other woman, though he has absolutely no romantic interest in her. In fact, he is quite bent on throwing her and Captain Kuchiki together and seems to take glee in his attempts (they usually involve pissing off Byakuya to some extent).

Sōsuke Aizen
The mastermind behind Suiren's arrival to the Seireitei, he is pulling the strings from the background, currently using Moghedien's control of the Dream World to help manipulate Suiren's dreams. Right now, Suiren knows him only as the man who has appeared in her dreams, which he is controlling. She has no idea who he really is or that his intentions are not as wholesome as they seem.

Moghedien
Also known as: The Spider; Lilen Moiral
Moghedien organized the transfer and trade of two Aes Sedai, Suiren being specifically named, for two arrancar between the Dark One and Aizen. Her motives seem to be solely based on power, as doing so will not only gain her favor with the Dark One, but allow her to command two deadly weapons of her own upon her return from Hueco Mundo. All of her actions are thought out to provide her with the absolute minimal damage to herself.
