Spread the Love

The pic in my last journal is driving me nuts; damn thing has been resized several times and even reuploaded but it's still the same size (too big) as it was when I started. Sooooo I decided to put up a new journal. And what better topic for a new journal than features? After all, I do love spreading the love. The only trick now is decided where to start!

I suppose I'll go with a more personal feature. My former boss (the one who originally hired me last year but left the company back in May) is a bit of a jeweler and has begun selling some of her work at several local shops around Baton Rouge. She's started branching out a bit, by way of Etsy, and I'm hoping to convince her to make a dA page, as well. Every little bit helps, ya know? For now, I'd like to help promote her Etsy page (hence my recent poll) and see if I can help drum up some business for her. (Waiting to place an order, myself. ^_^ Mom and I are getting customized lariat necklaces. ) So go check out her page! See if she has anything you'd like for yourself, a friend, a spouse, your mom. And if you're feeling particularly generous, help spread the word!



The next feature also has a bit of a personal touch to it. Recently, I revived the and have begun the process of moving everything over to the new Group, . As you may have guessed, both pages celebrate one of my favorite dA artists and dear friend, Archie-The-RedCat. If you're a fan, friend or commissioner of Archie's, head on over and join the new Group!

For those that watch marurenai, you probably already know that her work was recently stolen and used by someone here on dA. That person also stole a great deal of art from other deviants, whom I spent most of yesterday evening locating and notifying so we could get the stolen images reported and removed. As of today, it looks like it paid off, as that person's gallery has dramatically shrunk in size. Everything left is still stolen, but it's commercial images and I don't expect companies like Nintendo and Sony to contact dA to complain. (They're still reported but I don't think anything will be done about it due to the way dA handles reports.) The important thing is, our fellow deviants had the copies of their work taken down. A big WIN for the dA community. On that high note, I'd like to feature the images that were stolen, so that the true artists can receive the appreciation they deserve. Be sure to go by and give these deviants some love!
